As we are all aware, most of the Capacity Evaluation work throughout CM25 in R/3. Working our way through this hard-ass customizing is a bumpy road indeed. Tree-leveled structure of customizing for Capacity Evaluation makes everything a bit more confusing than what it supposed to.
When we enter CM25’s gantt chart oriented screen, we get welcomed by orders we choose to filter in the customizing.
To make this filtering in proper way, we use Filter Set customizing within OPD0.
Filter Sets
In Filter Set, we have various kinds of pre-determined Sets. They all work with different objects and variants. These sets may be suitable for you, but most of the time, you’ll require the orders to be specific. That’s why we need to create a new set.
CES1, which helps you to create (obviously) a new basic set or multi set. The difference is, if you want multiple sets to be common in a set, we use multi sets.
When we choose to create a Basic Set, SAP shows us all the objects we can use to create it. It varies from “Order Type” to “Maintenance Planning Plant”. Don’t let the pop-up confuse you, there’s a little page down button in below to show you other options.
Let’s work with AUART (Order Type). We can choose, any kind of order type that we want to use, including the custom ones.
We take a request and save. That’s it with the Basic Type. If and only if we need to use only this set to filter orders, we can directly use this set for our selection.
Multi Set
Or, we can combine it with the other sets via Multi Set.
With this combination, all the orders that we are going to observe in CM25 will be the common ground of the identifications we have defined in this set.
Thanks.
